Lisa Price | EVP & Chief People Officer

Lisa Price

Lisa Price oversees all people and human resources functions for OPENLANE. She is charged with bringing human resources, payroll, benefits and compensation departments enterprise-wide into alignment with OPENLANE’s strategic and operational goals and objectives.

As OPENLANE’s chief people advocate, Price has transformed how the company and its business units look at, recruit, measure, develop and promote people. She has championed people as a top priority for the company—from sourcing and recruitment to retirement. Under her leadership, the human resources function has become a true strategic partner to the business.

Price initially joined the company  in 2005 as corporate counsel for ADESA, responsible for everything from employment litigation and third-party liability to HR compliance matters and responses to OSHA inquiries. In 2007, she was promoted to vice president of litigation and employment counsel for KAR. She assumed her current role in 2013, making the leap from a successful 14-year legal career to leading the enterprise people function for OPENLANE and its subsidiaries.

Prior to joining the company, Price spent six years in private practice at Stewart & Irwin focusing on employment law, litigation and compliance. She is skilled in the areas of workers’ compensation, employee relations and employee benefits, as well as risk management. Price holds a bachelor’s degree Cum Laude from Ball State University and earned her doctorate of jurisprudence from Indiana University School of Law.
