Marty Nowlin | EVP, Human Resources

Marty Nowlin oversees all people and human resources functions for OPENLANE. He is charged with bringing human resources, payroll, benefits and compensation departments enterprise-wide into alignment with OPENLANE’s strategic and operational goals and objectives. Nowlin is OPENLANE’s foremost people champion, driving the strategy for the entire talent lifecycle, from initial recruitment to retirement. Nowlin continues to elevate the role of the Human Resources function, ensuring they are an essential strategic partner to the business.

After joining the company in 2016 as Vice President of HR, Nowlin was promoted to Senior Vice President of HR in 2020. He served in that role for four and a half years, and then was given additional responsibility as Head of HR until his promotion to EVP in February 2026.

Nowlin received his bachelor’s degree in business at Indiana University and holds a Six Sigma Certification. He is significantly involved in volunteer and coaching opportunities in the greater Indianapolis community, including as a current Board Member with the Indy Chamber.
