Insurance Auto Auctions Rolls Out Free Apple iOS and Android Apps for Live Auction Bidding
App Is Designed with IAA’s Global Buyers in Mind and Is Fast and Easy to Use

Westchester, Ill. — Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA), the leading live and live-online salvage auto auction company and wholly owned subsidiary of KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR), today announced the rollout of its new Apple iOS and Android apps providing buyers the flexibility to bid live in IAA’s auctions using I-bid Live™, manage their vehicle watch list, pre-bid on vehicles, and get notifications so they get the vehicles they want.

“Before we launched our app, we wanted to know how our customers would use it and what they needed in order to make it work best for them,” said Tom O’Brien, CEO of Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. “We honed in on four key features our buyers said were important to them: speed, ease-of-use, visual appeal and content driven by the buyer. In response to what they had to say, our team created an app that buyers will find convenient and easy to use. This is a great example as to how our continued investment in technology positively impacts our buyers’ experience. And more importantly, our commitment to provide individuals with products and services that fit their needs reflects how much we listen to and care about our buyers.”

IAA’s free app offers buyers plenty of ways to manage information. Quickly find vehicles by searching through IAA’s extensive inventory or browsing through specific auction run lists. Buyers can access IAA’s mobile version of I-bid Live™ one auction at a time and start bidding instantly. The app’s dashboard view is designed to provide an overview of a buyer’s account and a direct link to all vehicles. Directions and locations of IAA facilities are easily accessible. And the ability to manage buyer settings allows buyers the option to set notifications and create quick and easy access to the app.

IAA’s mature global buyer base consists of automotive body shops, rebuilders, used car dealers, automotive wholesalers, exporters, dismantlers, recyclers, brokers, and where allowed, non-licensed (public) buyers.
