KAR AUCTION SERVICES IT LEADER NAMED (ISC)2 2015 ISLA UP AND COMING INFORMATION SECURITY PROFESSIONAL

CARMEL, Ind.—KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR), a provider of used vehicle auction services, announced today that Security Architecture Program Manager and Enterprise Security Strategist Noah Jaehnert was selected by the International Information System Security Certification Consortium ((ISC)2) 2015 Americas Information Security Leadership Awards (ISLA) as this year’s Up and Coming Security Professional. KAR Auction Services CEO and Chairman Jim Hallett made the announcement.

The (ISC)2 ISLA program recognizes the achievements of outstanding cyber and information security professionals for improving industry workforce standards. The (ISC)2 ISLA Up and Coming Security Professional award specifically highlights a new professional each year that is a rising star in the information security field. Jaehnert was presented with the award at the (ISC)2 2015 ISLA Awards Dinner held in Anaheim, California, on September 30.

As security architecture program manager at KAR, Jaehnert provides strategic security architecture leadership for the applications and infrastructure supporting the KAR group of companies. Prior to joining KAR, Jaehnert was a senior information security consultant with Indianapolis-based Crowe Horwath LLP, and has served in internships with Milwaukee-based Brady Corporation, Crowe Horwath, and Alpharetta, Georgia-based McKesson Health IT. He earned his Master of Science in information systems from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and his Bachelor of Science in informatics from Indiana University—Bloomington. He has also previously been named the 2015 Cisco Champion for Security.
