Life at OPENLANE: Q&A with Yuliyana Sawczak, Sales Operations Specialist
Yuliyana Sawczak’s favorite part of her job is making people’s day by resolving their problems. Read more about her story and success below.
What has your journey at OPENLANE looked like?
A busy journey, for sure. I started as a Dealer Success Specialist. My hard work led me to get a Senior Team Lead position later that year. Then June of 2021, I became an Acting Supervisor and then I was officially promoted to Supervisor in October 2021. As of March 2022, I was given the opportunity to join the Sales Operations Team in a new role with a focus on helping our larger buyers with the post-sale process. There has been so much great movement within almost the three years I have been with TradeRev and OPENLANE.
What is something you are most proud of during your time at the company?
Almost everyone was new on my team when I was Supervisor – so building the team from the ground up was very rewarding. Also, being able to keep up in very busy periods.
What do you like the most about working here?
The people and atmosphere. It’s not often that you can walk into the kitchen of an office and talk to the company co-founder while you both make your food. You can just tell that everyone enjoys their job and is happy to be there. It’s a comfortable environment.
What’s a piece of advice for newcomers to the company?
Don’t hesitate to speak your mind. If you see something we’re doing that doesn’t work – speak up. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions.
What’s your favorite part of customer service?
Making people’s day by helping resolve their problems is the coolest part about it. That’s what defines success for me and is my favourite part about it.
