Life at OPENLANE: Q&A with Sarah Griffin-Jasmin, Senior Sales Operations Business Partner, OPENLANE Canada

Today, we’re sitting down with Sarah, a nine-year veteran of OPENLANE who has built a career on trust, teamwork and a passion for helping people. Now leading as a Senior Sales Operations Business Partner, Sarah shares her journey and the values that have driven her success.

What has your journey at OPENLANE looked like?

My OPENLANE journey started nine years ago, when I first began on the Customer and Sales team, supporting the Quebec market. I started learning rapidly, immersed myself in the business, my new role, and the English language. I then transitioned to the Sales Operations team, eventually gaining the opportunity to lead the team, and was promoted to Senior Sales Operations Business Partner.

What is something you are most proud of during your time here?

I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with my colleagues and our customers. I’ve found that when you go the extra mile for your team and your clients, whether it’s getting a project across the finish line on a tight deadline or solving a complex customer issue, it’s helped me create relationships based on trust and reliability.

What do you like the most about working at OPENLANE?

My favorite thing about working at OPENLANE is helping people. Whether I’m helping a customer get the best value for their vehicle, or supporting the sales team to boost their numbers, it’s incredibly rewarding. I love making a positive impact and simplifying the process for everyone involved.

Out of the four values and qualities that make up our Forward Together culture, which do you think best describes you?

I would say out of the four, Driven Waybuilder best describes me. I try to bring dedication, heart and reliability to everything I do. I’m known for my strong work ethic and take pride in delivering high-quality results. I believe in bringing kindness, attentiveness and a human touch to my work, creating an environment where both results and relationships thrive.

Which one of your skills has assisted in your success the most?

I would say my problem-solving.  I approach challenges with a structured mindset and focus on finding effective solutions. This has allowed me to deliver consistent results, adapt to change and support our customers’ goals.

What is your favorite part of OPENLANE’S culture?

My favorite aspect of OPENLANE’s culture is the strong sense of teamwork and engagement among the people. Everyone is always collaborating and staying involved, which not only drives creativity and problem solving, but makes the work environment enjoyable and inspiring.

What is the last show/movie you binged?

The last show I binged was Chicago Fire. I watched all 13 seasons back-to-back. What I loved the most about this TV show is how every team member relies on one another. If even one team member is not focused, it can put the safety and success of the whole team at risk. That strong sense of teamwork and responsibility really stood out to me. Forward Together.
